Sadly we have a medical industry who's priority is profit not the cure or even the health of the trusting patient. So we promote treatments to treat symptoms, never addressing the CAUSE. The tenent of todays "medical care" says by law, "only drugs can be used to treat disease". So all the common sense solutions are NOT employed but discouraged by today's doctors, who have been put thru medical school by the pharmaceutical industry. Their only treatments are drugs or surgery. NOT
Hence we have the sickest nation on earth for the dollars spent on "healthcare". We have epidemics of heart, cancer and diabetes that will never be cured because of the grotresque profits in keeping the patient ignorant and sick.
The American Diabetes Association says,"the diabetic can eat sugar, (predominate in the cause of diabetes) just shoot up enough drugs". This is criminal and people are dying.
Say NO to prescription drugs. Take your diet seriously.
When our dogs get sick we immediately ask, "what did they eat?" the most influential option in our health. We just want to be healthy and the profit driven doctors destroy health. Just look at the crap we call food, the fake food unfit for human consumption that is called nutrition?

It is a new day, wake up and take charge. Thank you Dr Ozner for opening our eyes to the abuse of our "sickcare" industry. They killed my mom.

1. Dr. Ozner does not specify "working out 30 minutes per day" for exercise. He describes several types of less strenuous exercise and specifically says that just a few sessions a week of simple walking can make a big difference in one's health.

2. His advocacy of a Mediterranean diet in no way "dominates the last half of the book." It is the subject of but one early chapter. His emphasis that the simplest and best thing one can do to save one's life is to change one's diet is a thread that runs through the book. And why shouldn't it be? Just because, to our deadened palates, pizza tastes better than broccoli doesn't mean that every effort shouldn't be made and every opportunity shouldn't be taken to educate people out of our rotten eating habits. They are killing us.

3. Dr. Ozner doesn't say diet and exercise are "new", but he sure does a good job of convincing and helping people to start putting this information into practice.
